Heidi will:
• discuss current book and movie adaptions such as Gone Girl and Shades of Grey

• detail the similarities and differences in story telling between a book and a movie
• tell the important elements needed to create a satisfying narrative in both
She also has stories to tell of her experience working with actors, writers and directors in the movie industry.

A Southern California native and resident of the Coachella Valley for twenty years, Heidi is currently the writer for the book review column for the Coachella Valley Weekly Arts and Entertainment newspaper, and is married to the writer of the newspaper’s movie review column. She says she spends a lot of her time reading and going to movies, as well as hiking, playing the cello and writing.
